Venture Global LNG has awarded Worley the engineering, procurement, and construction contract for the first phase of its LNG terminal in Cameron Parish.
The Journal of Petroleum Technology reports the two companies have agreed on substantive terms for the reimbursable EPC contract for the initial phase of the project and expect to finalize and sign the contract soon.
The contract includes engineering, procurement, direct-hire construction, commissioning, and startup—for the low-carbon LNG terminal in Cameron Parish. Worley’s Houston and Reading, Pennsylvania, offices will lead the work.
After signing a 20-year deal for 1.0 mtpa of LNG from CP2 with JERA, Venture Global now has over one-third of the project’s 20 mtpa capacity committed.
Venture Global’s first facility, Calcasieu Pass, went online in January 2022.
