A Louisiana CFO will be recognized next month as one of the Inland Marine Expo’s 40 Under 40.
Brian Richard, 39, is chief financial officer for Team Services, a shore tankerman and facility operations company in Baton Rouge. He is also an owner partner of the organization and has held previous roles as logistics coordinator, in quality assurance and as an accountant since joining the company in 2010.
Along with his role at Team Services, Richard is an active member in The American Waterways Operators, ALMA/American Equities Underwriters and Junior Achievement. He is from Thibodaux and currently lives in Baton Rouge with his wife and three daughters.
“During his tenure as CFO and part owner of Team Services, the company has increased its sales numbers and staff,” Will Hayes, director of marketing and business development for the firm, tells The Waterways Journal Weekly, which is profiling the honorees.
The Inland Marine Expo 40 Under 40 Award recognizes men and women under the age of 40 who have made significant contributions to the inland marine transportation industry and collectively promise to play a big role in shaping its future.
Awards will be presented to young professionals working on towboats, passenger vessels or other commercial craft, as well as those working shoreside at a port, terminal, shipyard or fleet. Those providing professional services to the industry such as surveyors, freight or equipment brokers, engineers, and consultants also qualify.
