Greenfield halts plan to build $800M terminal in St. John the Baptist Parish

Greenfield Louisiana LLC announced last week that it would no longer build its proposed $800 million grain export facility near a historically Black community in St. John the Baptist Parish, reports WWL TV.

Greenfield announced on Twitter that they would halt the project because of a lengthy permitting process by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

In a statement, a spokesperson with the USACE said there is no specific timeline for permitting. Read more.
