Williams Companies has delayed the completion of its Louisiana Energy Gateway natural gas pipeline project following a dispute with a rival, reports Seeking Alpha.
The 1.8B cubic foot per day pipeline originally was planned to come online this year but was delayed to 2025 following a dispute with Energy Transfer, the company said Wednesday.
Williams will continue to advance the project but has not laid out a new start date, CEO Alan Armstrong told the CERAWeek energy conference, adding it was able to re-route the line around the disputed area.
The proposed project, which is under construction in Louisiana and Texas, will feed gas from the Haynesville shale field to energy infrastructure along the Gulf Coast. Read more.
