Chart Industries Inc. has been selected to supply liquefaction technology and equipment for Phase 1 of Woodside Energy Group’s Louisiana LNG project, reports Pipeline & Gas Journal. The project, previously known as Driftwood LNG, is managed by Bechtel Energy Inc. as the EPC contractor and is located in Calcasieu Parish.
Under a December 2024 order, Chart will provide two LNG plants with a combined production capacity of 11 million tons per annum (MTPA). The order includes 16 cold boxes — four Heavies Removal Cold Boxes and four LNG Liquefaction Cold Boxes for each plant —integrated with Chart’s IPSMR liquefaction technology. Read more.
