Jim Rock, executive director of the Lake Area Industry Alliance in Lake Charles, believes strongly that volunteerism is “simply the sharing of one’s time and talent for the benefit of others.” As such, he has made a big impact in the Lake Charles area over the years, reports the American Press.
During his time volunteering while a plant manager for PPG, he initiated the first “Partner in Education” between Our Lady Queen of Heaven and a local business. Current volunteer efforts include the McNeese LNG Center of Excellence and the I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge Task Force.
He is also session moderator and a member of the planning committee for America’s LNG and Gas Summit and Exhibition. Read the entire story.
