Koch Engineered Solutions announced Monday it has executed a definitive engineering, procurement and construction agreement with Fidelis New Energy for its Grön Fuels renewable energy complex in West Baton Rouge Parish.
The agreement, which will cover the engineering and development of the facility’s primary fuels processing system, marks another piece falling in line for the project, which is expected to create more than 500 permanent jobs and thousands of temporary construction jobs.
Last year, Grön Fuels was granted a 10-year Industrial Tax Exemption Program tax abatement worth nearly $120 million per year. The complex, when completed, would be one of the largest renewable diesel facilities in the country with an output of 60,000 barrels per day. See the announcement.
