Kinder Morgan Inc. has received FERC approvalĀ to begin construction of the company’s proposed Acadiana natural gas pipeline project in Louisiana, Reuters reports.
The $143 million pipeline is expected to commence operations in second quarter 2022. The project will boost gas capacity by around 0.95 billion cubic feet per day (bcfd).
Kinder says the majority of the gas will go to Cheniere Energy Inc’s Sabine Pass liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility in Louisiana, one of the biggest LNG export plants in the U.S. with a current capacity to export around 3.5 bcfd of gas. Reuters has the full story.
